  My life has got to be like this, it has to be going up. Those words have followed me for years now. Every time I question myself, every time I was afraid to fall I would hear those words loud in my head screaming at me. My life has to be going up. I’ve never been fearful, I have been determined to never let fear stop me. So I pushed away my doubts and followed my intuition and I began this new adventure of becoming an insurance benefit consultant. Through helping clients and protecting their needs I began to learn what I was truly passionate about. I learned that what really matters is not the words I say but how I make people feel. Through this adventure and through getting to know my passion and drive I learned that nothing in this world is impossible. And I wake up every day with an indefinable passion to follow my dreams: I have been grateful for my struggle because without it I would not be able to taste the sweetness of success.

  Hi I’m Tania. Since I was young enough to remember, I knew there was a purpose for me being in this world. I’ve been on a life long journey figuring out exactly what that purpose is. I come from the fashion/music industry – where I became inspired by many people and experiences. I’ve had the dream, vision, and dedication follow me to where I am now. Joining #teamkeystar has really helped unfold my purpose even more. We share the same passion and drive to be successful but at the same time, we share the passion to help, educate, and guide others to success. Knowing that I’m able to change someone’s livelihood is fulfilling. It’s in my nature to want to genuinely help others – what better way than to be a part of a team that truly cares. There have been challenges along the way but I keep my eyes on the bigger picture. The big picture is clear: it’s not about just me, but about others, how you give back, and the good that you do!

  Criseida Diaz

  Insurance Specialist

  I’m Criseida Diaz, a mother first and foremost to a wonderful son, and an insurance broker. I have been working in the industry for 7 years. My passion to help others has been apparent since I was a child. I’m known to put others’ needs before mine. 7 years ago I was in-between career changes. I knew I wanted to share my gift with others but I was unsure as to how I was going to apply it. Within 3 weeks of being enrolled in Cosmetology school I found out I was expecting a child. The danger of being exposed to harsh chemicals and being on my feet for more than 9 hours at a time, quickly impressed upon me the fact that this path wasn’t meant for me. Soon after, my father spoke to me about insurance and how that career can allow me to help people by protecting them. I went to the school at AD BANKER and within 3 months I was licensed. I didn’t start working until my son was 6 months old. That’s when I started at State Farm Insurance in Silverlake Los Angeles. I was there for close to 7 years until what seemed like an act from the universe, and I crossed paths with Mayra. I instantly fell in love with her philosophy and Team Keystar. I knew the moment I had my interview with her on the day of my 34 birthday that I had found a mentor, a new place to call home, and a new work family. The way Team Keystar motivates and helps out their clients, is exactly how and what I always knew I could be. Being a single working mom and the way my son looks at me with admiration, is what pushes me every day to be the best at what I do. That is, making sure my clients are happy and well protected.   Michelle Kapner

  Account Manager

  Michelle comes to Keystar with a Marketing and Advertising background, working on national promotions with brands such as Martha Stewart and Disney. In that role, she helped fulfill the dream of homeownership, working for a national homebuilder, KB Home. She most recently spent the last 10 years as a stay at home mom, raising her now 14-year old son. She is new to Insurance, but brings her past experiences to the table when servicing and helping Keystars clients. Michelle tends to put the needs of others ahead of her own and always has Keystar clients’ best interest in mind.
