Payam Shabanzadeh, MD, graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominca, West Indies. Board certified in Internal Medicine, he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco. Dr. Shabanzadeh is a hospitalist - a physician who specializes in caring for patients in hospitals - at California Hospital in downtown Los Angeles. He is also an amateur musician who plays drums, piano, and keyboard. Dr. Shabanzadeh considers hi he uses the experience he's gained interacting with people of diverse backgrounds to reassure his patients about their care. In addition to English, Dr. Shabanzadeh speaks Farsi and medical Spanish.
