Dr. Shahrooz received her undergraduate degree in Physiologic Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and went on to obtain a master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. She received her medical training from Georgetown University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital/MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She completed her fellowship in anterior segment surgery with the Masket Foundation in Los Angeles.
