Description
Artin Sodaify is a California native, having grown up in Los Angeles. Artin speaks 3 languages fluently, including Spanish. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and ultimately became a practicing lawyer and later began his own firm. He has represented employees, Veterans and tenants. His interest in transportation issues prompted him to start volunteering for his local Neighborhood City Council. He was ultimately appointed as a committee member of the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood City Council, Traffic and Transportation division. Artin later sought a position on the County level through appointment onto the Los Angeles County Community Action Board ("CAB"). Sheila Kuehl, County Supervisor, appointed Artin onto the Commission in February of 2021. Soon after being appointed, Artin was appointed by CAB's Chair to become Chair of its Strategic Planning Subcommittee.
